The movie was filmed on location at the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, and it really does look like it was there all those years ago. The locations of the Higman Family Store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ Restaurant are real-life mom-and-pop shops.
I thought this movie was cute
The movie has a sports theme and I really liked the little Easter eggs (Donna Kells, Andy Reid, and some older, retired players) that were shown throughout the movie. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind movie about a high-class family that’s always trying to intervene.
I highly recommend watching this movie, especially if you’re a woman who likes sports and romance
This movie is a nice departure from the typical movie where a powerful and successful woman comes to a small town to fix something and falls in love with a local man. Overall it was a mediocre but still cute movie with a Christmas theme that wasn’t as important as the football.
